Solutions That Empower People, Inc. (STEP), a multifaceted community action agency, is seeking a full-time Head Start / Early Head Start Education Assistant Manager to support the Head Start and Early Head Start programs in Franklin County, VA. This position supports the HS/EHS Education and ERSEA Manager in overseeing day-to-day educational operations, supervising education staff, monitoring classroom quality, and ensuring compliance with Head Start Performance Standards and Virginia licensing requirements. Responsibilities include supporting curriculum implementation, conducting classroom observations, assisting with staff orientation and development, maintaining program documentation and data, and collaborating with program leadership to promote continuous quality improvement. Qualifications include an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, experience working with young children, management experience, and strong written and oral communication skills. Applicants must meet health, training, and background requirements. The salary range for this position is $45,600–$52,500 per year, with benefits including health insurance, disability insurance, a 401(k), and paid time off.
